What's a blank grid for?

To solve a newspaper puzzle again from scratch without scribbling on the original. To copy out a Sudoku someone brought back from a trip. Or to build your own: add numbers until it has exactly one solution – harder than it sounds.

Three sizes

9×9 is the classic Sudoku with 3×3 boxes. 6×6 has boxes of two rows by three columns and 4×4 has 2×2 boxes – both good for kids and for introducing Sudoku in class. Ready-made puzzles in these sizes are on the kids' Sudoku page.

For schools and clubs

The grids are free to copy and hand out. At one per page they also work as a large worksheet to fill in together.
